Eddie Hearn has said Dillian Whyte is next in line to fight Anthony Joshua at Wembley if Deontay Wilder does not abandon plans to face Tyson Fury again.
In a thrilling rematch at the O2, Whyte won his third fight of the year and second by knockout, when he dropped Dereck Chisora in round 11 on Saturday night.
Joshua does not have an opponent for his next fight in April and there has even been talk of him going to fight Jarrell Miller in New York.
In his post match interview, Whyte issued a heated challenge to Joshua, pointing at him and saying: “I want that lanky piece of s*** right there,” leading to the heavyweight champion to respond on the ring apron.
“If Deontay Wilder doesn’t want to fight Anthony, then I think it should be Dillian Whyte.”
